These are not the droids you are looking for – Part II

I wanted to keep this from being post after post bitching about Obama, but the guy really does just blow so much chunks.  I almost missed this little nugget of pure, unadulterated mouth poop in Obama’s speech yesterday, but luckily Jim Geraghty pointed it out: “The fourth step in our approach is to reduce spending in the tax code. In December, I agreed to extend the tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans because it was the only way I could prevent a tax hike on middle-class Americans.”  As Geraghty says, “What an Orwellian way of saying, ‘raise taxes.'”

This is one of those things that you know people as far left as Obama believe, but they rarely actually say it.  He’s not being very shy about his belief that every cent of wealth in this country belongs to the government and whatever we have, they were gracious enough to let us keep.

He also directly condradicted his talking point against the top tax rates in the exact same sentence.  Keep top tax rates the same is a tax cut, keeping lower tax rates the same is preventing a tax hike.  It’s a shame Reagan (zombie or otherwise) isn’t President now, because Obama would have fit in so much better in 1984 (get it?).  The contradiction was in the exact same sentence.  Most politicians at least give you a few paragraph buffer.

I would now like to issue my formal rebuttal to President Obama:

Bite me.
