Indiana has one of the lowest per capita expenditures in the nation. Mitch Daniels cut spending during the recession instead of creating massive deficits with “stimulus” spending. Since Obama spent about a trillion dollars to create jobs and Indiana cut spending, Indiana must be severely lagging behind…If by lagging behind you mean completely kicking ass.
And when you completely kick ass, things like this happen. Daniels has been so responsible with the budget and created such a pro-growth environment, that Indiana now has a few hundred million dollars to just play around with. And since he’s a teacher-hating monster that wants to destroy education and all of people’s freedoms by going to a merit-based pay system for teachers and allowing parents to use the money that would have been spent on their child in a public school as a voucher for a private or charter school, he’s going to put another $150 million into education. Even though Indiana already spends the highest percentage of it’s budget on k-12 education of any state.
I can’t believe how much he hates children and teachers.
And how great would it be to have a President that says things like:
“This is prudent and leaves a lot of room for error.”
Instead of things like:
“The fourth step in our approach is to reduce spending in the tax code.”
One can dream.
