Unfortunately for Obama, the economy does not respond to the race card

While accusations of racism may terrify white people, economics cannot be bullied or intimidated.  Similarly, gravity will not allow you to fly even if you threaten to release it’s sex tape.  I had to learn that one the hard way.   Even though this may seem obvious to most, apparently one of Obama’s advisers is telling him that verbally admonishing the economy will fix it.  You can see his lecture to the economy here (note his seriousness in the still).

Seeing as how, during the Reagan recovery, the unemployment rate peaked at 10.8% and was down to 7.2% by the end of his first term, growth was up to 5.1% by Q1 of his third year (compared to 1.8% for Obama), and Reagan stopped inflation instead of creating it, the only possible explanation Obama can see is that the economy just doesn’t want to improve because it’s mean.  I also don’t think it would be a stretch to say that the economy only recovered for Reagan because he was white and not because of his policies.  Rumor has it that the economy is a staunch birther (this rumor was started by the White House).

You see, Obama is very smart to assume that companies aren’t hiring because they just don’t want to.  They might weave some yarn about economic uncertainty due to the threat of higher taxes, the ballooning national debt, inflation, over regulation, the threat of much more regulation, an overall attitude in the government that demonizes profits unless you’re a company the President likes, having a President that is obtuse enough to say shit like this and vindictive enough to do shit like this, and other crap like that.  But really, they’re probably just racist.
